Another first, and last for the time being!

Naomi's First Kiss was memorable- on Feb 20 her little beau, Owen Hubbard gave her a real smooch...caught us all by surprise, but fortunately he was willing to do it again and again for the camera! We had a nice visit by great aunts (Brenda and Tricia) and uncle (Mark) and cousins (Martha and Becca Davis) in February, a trip to the Catskills with friends and babes in March and a trip to Pennsylvania for Emily (Houtz) Weiler's baby shower/visit to Beth Trevino that same month. So it's been an eventful few months for Naomi and her parents! Here are some pictures, including our anniversary get-away weekend in the Berkshires (Feb 15).

Voyage a Londres!

Before I get Easter and spring pictures up, I wanted to show you some highlights of recent months, such as first trip abroad (to London in December/January) ...picture with dear friend Alison Paton by London Eye, Paul, Eleanor and Reuben Every-Clayton (who we went over to meet!), and Naomi at Rosetta Stone and Harrods on crash visit to downtown London!

Two Years Ago Today!

Hard to believe it's been two years already that we've been married! Time has flown, but it has been wonderful (and quite eventful!) Here are a few photos.

One Week and Counting

Naomi will be one in just one short week! I always thought that once your child hit one, you entered into the hard, not-fun part of parenting. That all of a sudden your baby disappears and you're stuck with this fussy, independent, difficult monster. Although there is a wee bit of truth to that, and there are growing pains (and teething pains) involved, I am LOVING this phase of Naomi's life. She is exploring with her words---she said her first word, "hi" this past week! "Bye" followed a few days later. Now we're working on animal sounds, although Tucker and I both could have sworn she said "mine" today. Actually it's a mix of "buy" and "mine" when she sees something she likes or wants!
We had a crazy little adventure yesterday when we were taking a walk with Aunt Emily Currie. We live across the street from this gorgeous cemetery with really stately tombstones and large pathways to walk down. P.T. Barnum, Tom Thumb and Fanny Crosby are all burried there, although we have yet to find Fanny Crosby's marker. Anyway, we were strolling along, the three of us, Naomi all bundled up in her new winter jacket from Grammy. And when we got to the gate to leave we realized that all of the gates were locked. Apparently they "lock at sunset" without even checking to see if anyone is being locked in the cemetery! SO...Emily hopped the fence then I passed Naomi over, then I hoisted the baby stroller up and over and then I hopped over too. Thankfully Emily was there because I would have been stuck inside unable to hop over with the baby! It was Naomi's "first adventure" of that genre.

And the pumpkin...

Naomi was a chubby, adorable, snuggly pumpkin for Halloween. We paraded around Fairfield with friends Micah (6 month old Tigger), Owen (13 month old frog), Ava and Ivy (2 week old egg and chicken, respectively), Elliot (5 year old spiderman) and Abby (2 year old princess). Tigger was the only one able to make it to the post-parade photo shoot. T'was a fun day.

Pumpkins, Sunshine and Rainbows

October flew by for la famille Currie. It was a beautiful month so we got to savor being outdoors, picking fruit, visiting the pumpkin patch and spending time with friends and family. Most recently we
had a lovely playdate with cousin Scarlett at their new home in in Ridgewood New Jersey (Princess Lea for Halloween...too cute)..we also went to a little family farm (sunshine/sheep pictures). The weekend bfore that (Oct 19-20) we had a wonderful visit with Anna---where we got some pumpkins for decorating and saw the most gorgeous rainbow---Naomi's first. We also went to see Marjorie play the role of Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. She was just fabulous...can't wait to go see it again. C'est tout pour octobre. Bienvenue Novembre.
